Costa Rica in February 2008: Two Great Trips!

The GOS now has two exciting, ten-day trips to Costa Rica.

The first trip is the Quetzal trip, which is basically Western Costa Rica. It explores beautiful Monteverde, Palo Verde National Park, Carara National Park, Pura Vida Botanical Gardens, The famous Skywalk, Mangrove Tours by Boat, Tarcoles, Silvestres (Baru NWR), Los Cotingas (Skutch’s property), the Oso Peninsula, and finally, Mirador del Quetzales (replete with quetzals).

The second trip is the Sarapiqui Trip, or Eastern Costa Rica, and goes to many of the same places past trips have explored: Hummingbird House, Poas Volcano, Selva Verde, La Paz Waterfalls, Pozo Azul, Timbre Forest Reserve, and the boat trip up the Rio Frio (fantastic!).

Both trips are $2000, and the dates are: Feb 5 – 15 (Quetzal, or Western)); and Feb 18-28 (Sarapique, or Eastern). Anyone wishing to go on more than one tour will be granted a big discount, and we’ll take you to a good birding lodge in-between.

The 2008 tours still have openings, so let us know!
